Alternative vocabulary

adverts - French altitude tests that determine the level of vertigo a person suffers by measuring the intensity of the green part of the spectrum of light reflected from a person's parlour over a range of altitudes. The original research defined what has come to be known as the adverts effect . This occurs at the saturation point where altitude sickness reacts with en-heightened vertigo to induce heavy vomiting. Risks to the public at ground zero are minimal as the vomit dissipates during the fall so innocent bystanders are unlikely to notice any remaining moist droplets of vomit falling upon them. There have been murmurs of complaint about vile odours that have been following round some passers by but there has been no evidence the nasty niffs to the adverts.[back]

civil servants - Polite people tasked with the rude work of governments and the root cause of high taxes. Particularly adept at the art of disguise, especially where taxis concerned. Civil servants need careful monitoring and that in turn leads to a escalation of mindless bureaucracy, increased risk of war, and exponential growth in the number of taxpayer suicides. Famous examples include Adolf Eichmann and Dr. Richard Beeching. Indeed the emergence and coming to power of the former, and his boss, necessitated the latter in order to reduce the the second coming of the first via the railw3y workers unions and their owners. It is a little know fact that Dr Beeching was one of the first advocates of shrink due to a useful side effect of his oxtail soup, seasoned with lucky heather.[back]

dictator - The dream job of every wannabee politician, business school graduate and art school drop out (remember him). To be second to none, nulli ubique secondus. We all know about the bad ones such as Charlie's Chaplain, Him, Jo Dung Pol and General Rick O'Shea. There were however some good ones and, lets face it, the pillocks most democratic countries seem to elect these days are making the totalitarian state actually look like a viable option. After all General Franco did restore the Spanish Manarchy and President Tito maintained peace in the Balkans. Couple this with traitorous party political tactics that select a credible leader before the election only to stab their saviour in the back and plot his or her removal within months of winning the election. Such rebels seem completely unaware how irritating it is for the electorate to see their elected leader deposed. Perhaps it''s time to resurrect Mr. James, to ID the last king of Scotland, and ask if his mean dadda would be willing to step forward. [back]

discrimination - It was explained to me recently by a redundant World Health Organisation Dalek that discrimination is a process of major importance in Dalek society and discriminators are integral to all of their communications and disruptive weapons.[back]

farthing - Old coin made of bronze (brass farthing) no longer in use. The lowest value coin ever issued in Britain. The coin was phased out prior to decimation in the 1960s. It was also, in a manner of speaking, the back wheel of a Victorian bike. The penny-farthing bike took a great effort to ride often resulting in a sharp export of gas. The name of the coin often is confused with fahrting. That has German origins to do with travel and aviation. Balonfahrt is the German word for balloon flight.[back]

high taxes - The beginning of the end for a government. Easily preventable with regular culls of civil servants. Sometimes they put up a fight and civil war breaks out but usually the just cause prevails with the prospect of happier times to come. So what if some of them lose the heads? Surely that will convince more to take early retirement.[back]

horse shit - Feaces from animals that like to be taken for a ride. Popular among gardeners there are two grades 28 Dublot or 48 Dublot. 28 Dublot horse shit is used for path clearance purposes while 48 Dublot is the kind made preferred by Andover Light Organics Company, International Rose Growers Association, and Spanish Harlem Window Boxing Club.[back]
